Henry P. Kennedy, BMSN, This fellow was a legend! If you had the pleasure to serve with him, I'm sure you have stories to tell. Share them with us please.

I remember Kennedy well. He got in trouble once for rolling a boulder down the hill into his girlfriends house. Almost went to civilian jail.

Onetime I remember he grabed 2 180lb dan bouy anchors by the bail, one in each
hand, and carried them down the pier the length of the Phoebe.

Do you remember
the silly voice/word thing he used to do? The closest I could come to it would be "HUP NUP SHOO BYE". He seemed to use it to express pleasure.

Jeff Reese

I remember the same stories about Kennedy,Once he wrapped his
arms around a telephone pole, the shore patrol had to beat him to get him off of it. Another time he was tearing up the floor in a cell it took half a doz to shore patrol and an officer from our ship to calm him down.
Another time he broke away from the shore patrol when being returned to the ship, he ran around the decks hiding and going HUP HUP, he drove the shore patrol crazy. The guy was a legend.
